This 1965 Fastback has undergone our full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration and is now a Tribute to the famous Shelby GT350. This was the first year that the GT350 was produced and is regarded by some as being the best. It has been finished in correct Wimbledon White (Dupont) paint with Blue LeMans Stripes. The new black interior is complemented with a Tribute Shelby dash mounted tachometer pod (we make these as they can’t be brought for a right hand drive car) and Mota-Lita steering wheel. With a fully rebuilt and balanced high performance engine, you will relive the excitement this model created when launched as you grip the Mota-Lita steering wheel and fire up the engine.

Engine

.Original 289 Windsor small block V8 engine fully rebuilt and designed to run on unleaded petrol. New pistons, hydraulic camshaft and double row timing chain. A fully rotating balance has also been completed. The cylinder head is a CNC Aluminum unit, with oversized inlet and exhaust valves. It has a four barrel manifold matched up to a Edelbrock carburetor and a Electronic CDI ignition unit. Tri Y headers are connected to a new 2 1/2" performance exhaust

Fully rebuilt 4 Speed Toploader Box with a Hurst Competition Pro Shifter and a 10.5" Zoom Performance clutch.

Fully rebuilt 4 Speed Toploader Box with a Hurst Competition Pro Shifter and a 10.5" Zoom Performance clutch.

Rear End Fully rebuilt 4 Speed Toploader Box with a Hurst Competition Pro Shifter and a 10.5" Zoom Performance clutch. Brakes New power assisted front disc brakes and 4 piston calipers. Rebuilt rear drum brakes with new wheel cylinders. Suspension New front coils and new rear leaf springs. New Koni shockers all round along with a 1 1/8 inch front sway bar and an adjustable 3/4 inch rear sway bar for improved handling. Lowered 1" consistent with Shelby tuning. Wheel and Tyres Period correct 15 x 7 Torque D wheels front and rear fitted with white lettered BF Goodrich 225 x 60 x 15 radial tyres. Notable Additional Items o Mirror right hand drive conversion incorporating an RRS rack and pinion power steering wheel system o Dash mounted Tribute Shelby tachometer pod o Mota-Lita steering wheel o Hurricane air conditioning unit that replaces the original heater box and adds a modern high efficiency AC and heater/defroster. o Enlarged oil pan o Cross flow Aluminum radiator o Halogen head lights o Black finned Shelby insignia valve covers o Cobra oval air cleaner
