1965 GT350 Tribute – 230cs

This 1965 Fastback is undergoing our full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration and will be a tribute of the famous Shelby GT350. This was the first year that the GT350 was produced and is regarded by some as being the best. It will be been finished in correct Wimbledon White paint with Blue LeMans Stripes. The new black interior will be complemented with a tribute Shelby dash mounted tachometer pod (we make these as they can’t be bought for a right hand drive car) and Mota-Lita steering wheel. This Mustang is being fitted with 4 wheel disc brakes and a fully rebuilt and balanced high performance engine.

Engine
Original 289 Windsor small block V8 engine rebuilt and designed to run on unleaded petrol. New pistons, hydraulic camshaft and double row timing chain. A fully rotating balance has also been completed. The cylinder heads are CNC Aluminum unit, with oversized inlet and exhaust valves. It has a four barrel manifold matched up to a Holley carburetor and a MSD Electronic CDI ignition unit. Tri Y headers are connected to a new 2 1/4" performance exhaust system.
Transmission
Fully rebuilt T5 Tremek 5 Speed Manual Transmission, with short shift.
Brakes
4 Wheel Discs by WILWOOD.
Suspension
All components have been replaced with the best quality new parts.
Steering
Total Control Products power assisted rack and pinion steering conversion.
Wheel and Tyres
Period correct 15 x 7 Torque Thrust D wheels fitted with white lettered BF Goodrich 225 x 60 x 15 radial tires.
