1965 GT350 Tribute – 248cs

This 1965 Fastback has undergone our full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration and is now a tribute of the famous Shelby GT350. This was the first year that the GT350 was produced and is regarded by some as being the best. It has been finished in correct Wimbledon White (Dupont) paint with Blue LeMans Stripes. The new black interior is complemented with a tribute Shelby dash mounted tachometer pod (we make these as they can’t be brought for a right hand drive car) and Mota-Lita steering wheel. With a fully rebuilt and balanced high performance engine, you will relive the excitement this model created when launched as you grip the Mota-Lita steering wheel and fire up the engine.

Engine
302 Cubic inch Windsor small block V8 bored and stroked to 347 cubic inch 415 Horse Power high performance engine . Engine is fully rebuilt and designed to run on unleaded petrol. New Forged pistons, Hi Po hydraulic roller camshaft and lifters and double row timing chain. A fully rotating balance has also been completed. The cylinder head is a CNC Aluminum unit, with oversized inlet and exhaust valves. It has a four barrel manifold matched up to a Holley 600 CFM carburetor, MSD Electronic CDI ignition unit. Full length stainless steel headers are connected to a new 2 1/4" performance exhaust system.
Transmission
Brand new Tremec TKO 600 31 spline 5 Speed manual transmission.
Rear End
Fully rebuilt Ford 9 inch limited slip with 31 spline axles and 3.89 gear ratio.
Brakes
Wilwood 4 wheel power disc.
Suspension
New Total Control Products front coil over suspension and new rear leaf springs. New Vari Shock dual adjustable shockers all round along with a 1 1/8 inch front sway bar and an adjustable 3/4 inch rear sway bar for improved handling. Lowered 1" consistent with Shelby tuning.
Wheel and Tyres
Period correct 15 x 7 Torque Thrust D wheels front and rear fitted with white lettered BF Goodrich 225 x 60 x 15 radial tires.
