1966 GT350 Tribute – 253cs

The 1966 Fastbacks are becoming increasingly hard to find. This example is being built to order and is undergoing our full nut and bolt restoration process. Finished in Raven Black (Dupont) with Gold LeMans Stripes, this stunning combination with be complemented by an all new Red interior featuring a Dash mount Shelby tribute Tachometer and Mota-Lita steering wheel.

Engine
Original 289 Hi Performance Windsor small block V8 engine will be fully rebuilt and will be design to run on unleaded petrol. New Forged pistons, Hi Po hydraulic camshaft and double row timing chain. A fully rotating balance will also be completed. The cylinder heads will be CNC Aluminum units, with oversized inlet and exhaust valves. It will have four barrel manifold matched up to a Holley carburetor and a MSD CDI ignition unit. Tri Y headers will be connected to a new 2 1/4" performance exhaust system.
Transmission
Brand new T5 Tremek 5 Speed Box with a short throw shifter and a 10.5" Zoom Performance clutch.
Rear End
Fully rebuilt 9" with 3.0 ratio.
Brakes
New FORD 11.7 inch power assisted front disc brakes and 4 new piston calipers. Rebuilt rear drum brakes with new wheel cylinders.
Suspension
New front coils and new rear leaf springs. New Koni shockers all round along with a 1 1/8 inch front sway bar and an adjustable 3/4 inch rear sway bar for improved handling. Lowered 1" consistent with Shelby tuning.
Wheel and Tyres
Period correct magnum 500 15x7 front and rear will be fitted with white lettered BF Goodrich 225 x 60 x 15 radial tyres.
